A Great Place to Relax Indoors and Outdoors!
Nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty, this Lake Pleasant cabin is the place to stay when you want to experience it all! The central location (9 miles north of Forks, WA) offers easy access to kayaking, fishing, hiking, ocean beaches, the rainforest and more!
The cabin sits near the lake and has a beautiful pond located directly off the back deck. A well maintained county park is located within a half block of the cabin. The park offers year-round fishing, a public dock and boat launch, a swimming area, picnic tables, benches near the shore, a playground and public restrooms.
Lake Pleasant is a unique lake, as it was home to several lumber mills and logging camps 20 years ago. At that time the shore around the lake was dotted with small houses called "skid houses" that were built on skids so they would be easy to move from camp to camp as the logging locations changed. Over the years the logging camps have been replaced by homes and the sawmills have mostly disappeared. Interfor is the only operating sawmill on the lake in 2011. Visitors to the lake can expect to hear the mill operations, so be prepared to enjoy the seclusion of the area and perhaps the sound of the mill in the background.
During your visit to Lake Pleasant you may be treated to views of the otters and eagles that inhabit the area. If you're lucky you may spot a double-rainbow over the lake, or see the moon's rays shining across the water. This scenic beauty found only on the Olympic Peninsula never fails to amaze us, and we live here year round.
We can't wait to share our little piece of paradise with you!![]()
